The Green Pin® ROV Pro Shank Hook is a grade 8 eye hook with a long shank, specifically designed for release and retrieval operations in subsea environments using a remotely operated vehicle (ROV). This hook features a wider opening and wider saddle making it ideal for handling larger lifting slings or attachments with ease.A key innovation of the Green Pin® ROV Pro Shank Hook is its 3-in-1 functionality add-on, which can be operated with a ROV manipulator or manually. The add-on allows the user to efficiently open, lock and unlock the safety latch, enhancing operational speed and reliability.The hook is equipped with a hook tip extension. This feature ensures that the safety latch remains in place, enhancing safety while making aiming, steering, and hooking up more precise and efficient.The design of the hook, combined with its smooth finish, minimizes wear on lifting slings. The white-coated hook and orange-coated slider ensures durability and improves underwater visibility, simplifying the process of grabbing and positioning the hook. Is the Green Pin® ROV Pro Shank Hook only operable by an ROV, or can it also be operated manually?

The product is primarily designed for subsea ROV deployment, but it can also be manually operated for shallow water applications and controlled surface testing.

What type of Loctite is used or recommended?

We recommend using Loctite 243 for bolt fixation. It provides medium-strength thread-locking, ideal for subsea applications and allows for later disassembly if required.

Open, Lock and Unlock. This is a visual aid on the LOK that helps indicate the operational status of the safety latch.

This position could be used to release loads

The latch is locked automatically by the slider system

How do I maintain the Green Pin® ROV Pro Shank Hook?

Green Pin® ROV Pro Shank Hook must be inspected by a competent person for proper functionality and damages. Visual inspection for damages, dirt and checking of the functionality of the hook shall be carried out prior to use.
