Bridging continents, seas, and challenges

The Green Pin^® shackles are often used in prestigious projects. Speaking of one of those projects, let’s talk about the longest suspension bridge in the world: The Çanakkale 1915. The Çanakkale 1915 is a 3.7km suspension bridge built over the Dardanelles Strait in the Çanakkale province of Turkey, located at the western end of the Marmara Sea. The existing transportation network was unable to handle the traffic growth since Turkey is an important cross-link between Asia and Europe. Rapid economic growth due to increased tourism, agriculture and transit activities has led to chronic traffic congestion. 

To address these problems, the Turkish Government created the Vision 2023 program, which aims to increase the road, sea, and rail transport capacities. The Çanakkale 1915 extension is essential for the program, which further incorporates significant transportation tasks like the Gebze-Orhangazi-İzmir Highway. The task is supposed to further develop traffic streams and facilitate the present and future blockage issues. Moreover, the new bridge improves the transportation network in the country and promotes socio-economic growth and tourism. 

Why Green Pin^®?
