Description

The Green Pin® Grab Hook CL EN1677-1 is a grade 8 clevis grab hook according to European standard for components for sling EN 1677-1. Grab hooks are designed with a special curved narrow throat used to "grab" and shorten or hold a length of chain used in general lifting applications. In case of asymmetric load, the grab hook can be used to adjust one or more legs of the sling. The curved design of this throat makes inserting the chain easier and quicker. Once fitted the chain is perfectly secured, because the curved throat avoids the chain to slip out and two pitches support the link properly. The clevis design enables a direct connection to grade 8 chain. When connecting the clevis hook to a master link, use at least 3 grade 8 chain links between the hook and the connecting link fixed on the master link. 100% load capacity. The Green Pin® Grab Hook CL EN1677-1 is available in a range to suit 6 mm up to 16 mm grade 8 chain.

Frequently Asked Questions

FAQs
How should I use Green Pin® Clevis type fittings?

Please find the user manual here.

Where can I find the Working Load Limit table for chain assemblies?

You can find the Working Load Limit tables for chain assemblies here:

Is it allowed to weld on Green Pin® lifting equipment?

No! Green Pin® products are treated with well designed heat treatment, which results in a certain Minimum Break Load and other specific mechanical properties. These properties will be destroyed by the heat of welding. It even can initiate extreme hard spots and initial cracks, that will decrease the strength and fatigue life dramatically. An exception is made for Green Pin® GH and PAS products, as these need to be welded to a surface to function. For these items, please follow the instructions that are available at Green Pin® sales.

  • On the product page, go to the table with dimensions
  • Select the productsize that you are interested in
  • A Download button will appear

If no Download button appears, no CAD-drawing for this product is available.
